Prizegiving for the 2009-10 season is scheduled to take place on 27th March at 7:00 Pm at the OCA club rooms.

14 Mar 2010 : Te Papapa win Major Championship
Te Papapa made it three in a row by winning the 2009-10 major Championship. Defending Champions beat Kiwi Indians by 105 runs in the Final.
Desi Rifles retained their No. 3 position from last year with the victory against Money Shot.
01 Mar 2010 : Nominations invited for Six-A-Side
Nominations for the 6-A-Side are invited from all participating teams at OCA. The 6-A-Side is scheduled to be played at the end of the one-day competition as usual. Weather permitting the event will take place either on 20.03.10 or 27.03.10.
More then one team can be fielded from any participating teams. The rules and regulations will be intimated to all teams prior to the games.
10 Feb 2010 : Te Papapa win Preliminary Round
Tepapa have won the Preliminary round for 2009-10 season.
The 2008-09 champions were 12 points clear of second placed Money shot who finished with 320 points. Tepapa won 11 out 12 games played in the prelims.
Championship round begins on 13th Feb.
10 Feb 2010 : Manukau Budget follows suit after PPC exit
In an unfortunate turn of event Manukau budget has also opted out of the Second Round competition. Just like PPC they have struggled to field eleven players and these two teams combined produced 7 defaults this season.
Similar to the Major Championship the OCA committee has decided to have a knock-out format for Minor Championship. There will be round robin over three weeks followed by semi-final and final. At the end of round robin the advantage will rest with the No. 1 team who will play No.4 in the semi final. The other semi final will see No. 2 playing No. 3
04 Feb 2010 : PPC withdraws team mid-season
PPC have decided to pull out for the remainder of the season. The reason cited by PPC is player shortage. This is an unprecedented and unfortunate occurrence and the OCA committee is considering stringent actions including imposing ban on most of the regular PPC players and the team itself. However due to the lateness of the matter the Round 2 draw will stay intact and unfortunately the Bottom6 pool (now Bottom5) will have a bye every week over the 5 weeks in Round 2.
02 Feb 2010 : The “6:30pm finish rule” will stay: OCA Committee
OCA Committee has decided to keep the “6:30pm finish” rule atleast till the knock-out stage and will revisit the decision if needed.
Committee reasoned that only 2 games resulting in a draw out of 71 played so far this season indicates that the rule is working and onus is on the captains to get the games started on time and have shorter breaks to avoid a game resulting in a draw.
02 Feb 2010 : Second round draw to be finalized by Sunday 7th Feb
OCA Statistician will post the draw for second round on the website for both Top8 and Bottom6 competitions after the last minor championship game on 6th Feb.
02 Feb 2010 : Neutral Umpires' a possibility for Knockout games
President Marty Tomkins informed the OCA Committee that though it is not guaranteed but efforts are being made to get neutral umpires for the semi-final and final games of Top 8 draw in Round 2.
ACA umpires and neutral, non-playing OCA members are being approached for the purpose.
